Clothing:Find a Salvation Army center that can distribute clothing to needy families. Locate Salvation Army Corps facilities near you and learn about the different ways they may be able to assist in times of need. Contact your local United Way agency for clothing and other assistance and link to local, independent United Way offices.


Clothing, Furnishings, Household Goods:
Locate your local Goodwill store and see how Goodwill Industries might be able to help you. 

Veterans Affairs: Look into NJ Veterans services and programs through the NJ Department of Military & Veterans Affairs.

Seniors: Reach your county’s Area Agency on Aging to find out about community-based services for older adults through the NJ Department of Health and Senior Services.

Ex-Offenders/Currently Incarcerated: Discover services at the One-Stop Career Center that may help you greatly with your job search! Locate agency resources to help you with housing, parenting, education, substance abuse and much more. Check out "Prison 411".

Legal Issues: Find information here on many different legal issues. Low-income residents may be eligible for free legal services through Legal Services of NJ. Find a LSNJ office near you.

Money and Credit Matters:
Look into a free financial literacy program, NJ Financial Literacy Awareness Network, a service being offered at your local One-Stop Career Center. If you want to check your credit history, you can obtain free copies from the three national credit bureaus on an annual basis.

The Consumer Credit Bill of Rights gives you access to information about credit and personal finances.
