The complainant and employer have the right to appeal if either party disagrees with the outcome of a Division of Wage and Hour investigation or with a decision about a contractor's registration to perform public work. The Division holds various types of hearings and conferences to resolve disputed cases. More

Wage Rates
The hourly minimum wage in New Jersey is $7.25 per hour. Prevailing wage rates must be paid on public works projects and for state building services.   More

Contractors who want to bid on or engage in public works projects, manufacturers who engage in the producing of apparel and crew leaders who transport, recruit, supply or hire farm workers must register with Department.  More
