Our new and innovative Unemployment Insurance Self-Service system provides easy access to our program’s features and services.  The system allows you to easily access, review, and update your Unemployment Insurance (UI) claim.   At the website you can file or reopen a claim, claim your weekly benefits, access information about your claim, enroll for direct deposit of your benefits, and get your income tax information.  Visit the Self-Service system at www.njuifile.net to discover just how easy it is to manage your unemployment claim.

General information about unemployment insurance, such as "How do you file an unemployment claim?" or "What do you do if you miss an appointment?" is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. At the end of each general topic, you will have the option of speaking to an agent when you call 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

Note:  The Department of Labor and Workforce Development has expanded hours due to high call volume.  The hours of operation are subject to change when call volume decreases or system maintenance is required.

To obtain general information about unemployment insurance about your unemployment claim, you may call the claim information number (for the One-Stop Career Center that provides reemployment services in your area) or the Reemployment Call Center that serves your One-Stop office.  Occasionally, a technical problem may occur at the claim information number you are calling. If that happens, you may call any of the other claim information numbers for the other One-Stop Career Centers.
