Actively Seeking Work
This means that for each week of benefits that are claimed, you must look for work and do all that is reasonable to become employed. An active search for work is making at least three employer contacts each week while unemployed. The search for work must be with three different prospective employers each week. Recipients of unemployment insurance benefits may be required to produce a record of their work search contacts upon request by the Department of Labor and Workforce Development. Failure to make the minimum number of job contacts and to produce a documented work search record, when requested to do so, may result in the denial of unemployment insurance benefits.
