Requirements for Payment
Full-Time Student
If you are a full-time student, you may be disqualified from benefits while you are attending school and during scheduled vacation periods unless:
If you are attending school or a training program, you will be scheduled for an interview with a claims examiner. The examiner will determine if you are eligible for benefits.You have sufficient wages to establish an unemployment insurance claim based on wages earned while you were attending school (but not during vacation periods).
OR
You are attending school or a training facility approved by the state agency, as a means to improve your employment opportunities, and this training has been approved by the Division.
