Mar- 22-11 Trenton City youth welcome Labor Commissioner to program facility
TRENTON, MARCH 22, 2011 -- Commissioner Harold J. Wirths recently visited with participants and staff of the Urban Warfare program in Trenton to learn more about the program's approach to positively guide the city’s youth.
Founded in 2005, by Kenny Williams, a Department of Labor and Workforce Development employee, Urban Warfare, Inc. provides a safe place and supportive environment for young people every Friday from 5 PM to 8 PM at the Trenton Housing Authority Administration and Community Center.
“I commend Kenny and I am impressed with the positive activities his organization provides for the young people here in Trenton,” said Commissioner Wirths. “He is passionate about these young people and he wants to make sure they have an opportunity to reach their goals.”
