Commissioner Wirths along with other faith, business, and labor leaders took part in this event which, in part, helps to support 30,000 young people in the CYO. The occasion also honored business leader Dean Janeway, president and Chief Operating Officer of Wakefern Corporation; and labor leader Martin J. Schwartz, president of Essex Building and Construction Trades Council, and Business Agent for Local 164 International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

During his remarks, Commissioner Wirths said, “These awards remind us that it is imperative that we work together to make our communities stronger.”
