Trenton, April 29, 2009 – The New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development invite media representatives to join Commissioner David J. Socolow at Woodrow Wilson High School in Camden, New Jersey for a job fair that will connect Camden City youth with job opportunities.
The Summer HEAT (Help Employ Area Teens) job fair partners with Senator Dana Redd, Assembly Speaker Joseph J. Roberts, Jr., the Camden County Board of Freeholders, Camden County WIB, Camden County School Board, and the City of Camden to provide Camden youth with an opportunity to secure summer employment with participating employers.
Summer HEAT supports Gov. Corzine’s Public Safety Plan and offers at-risk youth, ages 17 to 25, opportunities to gain exposure to different careers and learn the skills that will lead to long-term employment.
