Equipped for the Future: What Adults Need to Know and Be Able to Do in the 21st Century

Equipped for the Future (EFF) standards for adult literacy and lifelong learning were developed to answer a complex question: What do adults need to know and be able to do in order to carry out their roles and responsibilities as workers, parents, family members, citizens, and community members? This panel discussed New Jersey’s efforts to incorporate EFF standards in adult education and literacy curricula as a methodology to help adults become self-sufficient and contributing members of New Jersey’s economy.
