Minimum Wage Advisory Commission

The New Jersey Minimum Wage Advisory Commission (hereinafter “Commission”) was established on April 12, 2005, by Public Law 2005 (C.34:11‐56a4.7), chapter 70. The Commission was charged with reporting annually to the Governor and the Legislature on its findings regarding the adequacy of the minimum wage and its recommendations as to whether the minimum wage should be increased and to what level. The law required the first annual report to be submitted between October 1, 2007 and December 31, 2007, and requires subsequent reports to be provided in one‐year intervals thereafter.
