Population & Labor Force Projections

  • Industry & Occupational Employment Projections
This directory contains population and labor force projections from 2010 to 2015, 2020, 2025 and 2030 by age, race, sex and Hispanic origin for the state and by county. These projections supersede the projections previously released by this Department.

These projections, which are neither predictions nor forecasts, reflect identifiable long-term economic and demographic trends which have been implicitly or explicitly incorporated into the models. In other words, the projections are an extrapolation of past and current trends into the future. These projections do not take into account any current or future policy initiatives. They are not intended to constrain or to advocate specific levels of growth in the state. Moreover, exogenous shocks, such as a natural disaster, a war or a terrorist attack, could cause the economy to deviate from these trends. These projections are best used as a reference framework for planning, research, and program evaluation.

For more information on the population and labor force projections, contact Sen-Yuan Wu at (609)292-0076.
