Independent Medical Examinations
Your care recipient may be required to submit to a physical examination by a state-appointed physician to support your family leave claim. There is no charge to you or your care recipient for this examination and the results of the examination will be kept confidential. You will be referred to a doctor located as close as possible to the care recipient's home.
Important: If the care recipient is scheduled for an examination and does not report, your family leave benefits may be denied or terminated.
