INCENTIVES & TRAINING
Employee Training Grants/Apprenticeship Training As a division of LPA, the Office of Grants Operations (OGO) offers several types of grant funding to train New Jersey workers. The core training programs funded by OGO include Customized Training, Literacy Skills Training, Apprenticeship Training and Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Training.
WorkFirst NJ On-the-Job Training (OJT) Program Employers may receive up to half of their new employee's gross wages for up to 26 weeks to help defray the costs of their training.
Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) Program A Federal tax credit incentive for employers to hire individuals from certain targeted groups. 
Business Resource Centers Experienced staff are the single point of entry for businesses to access state programs.
Federal Bonding Program Provides Fidelity Bond insurance for the first six months of employment for hard-to-place job applicants.
OTHER PROGRAMS & SERVICES
Hire Qualified Workers/Post Job Openings One-Stop Career Centers will screen and refer qualified workers to fill your vacancies.  Access NJ's Job Bank.  Post Your Job Openings for Free.
Downsizing File your WARN Notification, help your displaced workers find other employment, and get onsite layoff assistance from the Rapid Response Team.
Employer Accounts Determines if an employer is subject to NJ’s Unemployment Compensation and Temporary Disability laws, assigns contribution tax rates based on employer’s employment experience.
Workers' Compensation NJ law requires all NJ employers, not covered by Federal programs, have workers’ compensation coverage or be approved for self-insurance.
OTHER PROGRAMS & SERVICES
Alien Labor Certification The alien or foreign labor certification program permits U.S. employers to hire foreign workers on a temporary or permanent basis to fill jobs essential to the U.S. economy.
Free On-Site Safety and Health Consultations Trained OSHA staff provide free On-Site Safety and Health Consultation services to employers to improve their internal occupational safety and health management systems.
Employer documents (H1N1 flu epidemic) Employers play an important role protecting employees' health and safety. The CDC has established guidance documents for employers who manage staff in the general workforce.
