Office of Hearings and Appeals
The Office Of Hearings and Appeals administers the hearings and appeals program for the Social Security Administration (SSA). When a disability claim that has been unfavorably decided at the reconsideration step is appealed (see The Appeals Process) the appeal that is filed is the jurisdiction of the Office of Hearings and Appeals.
